We are pleased to announce that MagicTree has passed works-for-me stage and is ready for beta testing. We would like to ask you to give it a try. Our major goal is to find out if MagicTree can be useful to other people besides ourselves and what would prevent you from adopting it.

We plan on doing a public beta test end of this year and a first public release somewhere in 2011. The licensing terms are yet to be defined, but there likely to be a free community edition and a reasonably priced professional edition.

This beta test will last for couple of months in the course of which we plan on releasing updated versions of MagicTree. If you like to be notified about the changes and get download links just drop us a line and we will add you to our announcement-only mail list.

You can download MagicTree here. Please do not re-distribute it. If you know somebody interested in testing MagicTree, ask them to drop us a line at info@gremwell.com and we will invite them to participate in the beta test. We would like to keep track of who is using MagicTree.

Please have a look at Getting Started section of documentation to get some ideas about how to use the software (it has a lot of pictures!).

We would love to hear from you as you test MagicTree and we will try to answer your questions and fix bugs. We have prepared a questionnaire for beta testers. We would like to ask you to fill it in at the end of the beta test. In return you will get a free 2 years license, or something better, depending on the licensing policy which we haven't yet figured out.
