public class HistoryComboBox
extends javax.swing.JComboBox

A combo-box with input history and autocompletion. When a user types something into the combo-box, the string he has typed is looked up in the input history and firstly, all the matching strings are shown in the popup listbox and secondly, the best matching string is autocompleted in the text field with the autocompleted part of it selected.

Creates a HistoryComboBox using default history

Method Detail

setKey

public void setKey(java.lang.String key)

Sets history key. If you want several independent histories in your application use a different key for each one of them

Parameters:

key - History key string, for example "streetName"

addToHistory

public void addToHistory(java.lang.String item)

Adds an item to history. Call this method whenever the combo-box input is used, for example when user selects an item and presses Enter or clicks on soome button.
