MagicTree is a penetration tester productivity tool, it allows easy and straightforward data consolidation, querying, external command execution, and (yeah!) report generation. In case you wonder, “Tree” is because its stores all the data in a tree, and “Magic” because it is designed to magically do the most cumbersome and boring part of penetration testing – data management and reporting. See What is MagicTree for more details.

You can download MagicTree here.

MagicTree is a closed-source, proprietary software. This release is distributed free of charge and so will be the future releases of MagicTree Community Edition. We plan on offering a reasonably priced professional edition soon.

MagicTree BetaTwo is mostly written in Java and has been tested on Linux, Windows, and MacOS. It has no complicated installation procedure. On a typical OS just download the JAR file and run it. Look at Using MagicTree or the detailed documentation to get some ideas about how to use the software.

alla Tue, 01/04/2011 - 18:06 Tue, 04 Jan 2011 17:06:46 +0000 alla 75 at https://www.gremwell.com MagicTree Beta One Is Out https://www.gremwell.com/magictree_beta_one_is_out MagicTree Beta One Is Out

<blink style="color:magenta; forn-weight:bold; font-size:16pt;width: 200px">MagicTree Beta One is out!</blink><marquee style="color:lime;font-weight:bold;font-size: 16pt; width: 400px" behavior="alternate" scrollamount="30">MagicTree Beta One is out!</marquee>

They don't have <dance> or <jump-up-and-down-excitedly> tags in HTML or I'd use those too.

We are very happy (and mildly surprised) to announce Beta One release of MagicTree. It was planned for the beginning of April, but due to unexpectedly high consulting workload we will have to delay it at least until the beginning of May.

There is just one major feature that is missing for the Beta. It is Microsoft Word reporting. We have reporting in OpenOffice format, but MS Word still needs to be implemented.

alla Mon, 03/22/2010 - 12:45 Mon, 22 Mar 2010 11:45:26 +0000 alla 39 at https://www.gremwell.com
